My Creative Process

Today is February 22, 2022 or numerically 2 22 22!

The number two is influenced by the Moon and is thought to be a number that represents emotions, sensitivity and affection.

In numerology and astrology the number two symbolizes duality or the union of two things, two people or two ideas. For this number quintessentially presents the true notion of collaboration and connection.

My creative process inherently embraces duality and the melding of two distinctive states of consciousness. To me painting and making art is as much about the creative process itself than that of the eventual outcome. For creativity to me is being present with my higher-self where the intuitive, and unconscious realities intertwine with the aware and deliberate, cerebrally and metaphysically in a state of dichotomous unification.

This is a spiritual manifestation of energies on the one hand where I channel higher vibrational frequencies and on the other I am fully cognizant of my surroundings and faculties as well as the physical tools and materials I use to execute my work.

I paint from a place that is unseen. It is an exclusively personal, instinctual process where I tend to be drawn by a necessary need and desire. With this being said I must say it is an act that combines the spontaneous with the calculated, the metaphysical with the logical and the serendipitous with the deliberate.

Let us celebrate duality, union, connection and the wonderful number two.
