Stream of Consciousness

I suppose my work could be described as a stream of consciousness presented pictorially. This in a sense is a narrative mode or method that attempts to depict the thoughts, feelings and experiences that pass through the mind deliberately or intuitively.

With this being said I have tried to avoid categorization and definition. We naturally do this as people given that we live in a world that desperately needs to identify all things subliminal and seen.

This stream of consciousness is a metaphor in many ways describing how thoughts seem to flow through the conscious mind. So within my work there is a myriad and many multiple avenues of influence.

My work is literally not about the literal and has little bearing in describing the three dimensional physical world.

My paintings find their origins in my own experiences yet in many ways the pieces are void of true narrative. The paint itself is the story and is wide awake drawing its own narrative.

My art is as much about the paint, the action and the application. The simplicity of removing actuality and replacing it with a body of work presenting itself as an energy, unseen and existing as it is for it’s own sake.

It just is what it is!
